The build quality is excellent, the lens feels solid and well designed. The focus ring has a nice feel and turns smoothly without any travel or dead zones. One thing to note is that the aperture is manual but that shouldn’t be a problem since you’ll be using this lens at night in low light conditions.
The images this lens produces are fantastic, I think the image quality rivals more expensive lenses. The distortion is minimal, which surprised me because it’s a fisheye lens, but it’s actually not that bad at all. The images are sharp even on full-frame sensors and I didn’t notice any vignetting or chromatic aberrations whatsoever.
The distortion is something you have to work with if you want to use this lens for regular photography, but it can also be used creatively. You can get some really cool images with curved lines.
